I’m looking at the image samples on the submission guidelines page, the image templates that I downloaded, and the dimensions stated for the different parts of the key images, and they don’t add up.
The stated width of the live area (550) is wrong. Anyone know what it really is? I can eyeball it close enough but I’d really like to know if someone has updated information on key images in general and what the current dimensions are.
Hey there Snack!
I had a hard time understanding the first time, I’ll leave you a template with PSD files.

Thanks Matosic, but I have those. The stated live area width of 550 for the big image doesn’t match the template. The blue area in the template is only 520px, and from all indications the live area is a subset of that and even smaller.
They specifically illustrate and talk about the live area as a subset of the entire image. Yet the dimensions they give are wrong, and they also don’t state the location of the live area in relation to the image as a whole. Sure I can look at what people are doing and make something that will work, but my god how hard is it to just state complete and accurate information on something like this?
I’m having the same problem now. According to submission guidelines the big images have a live area of 550x330 and small images a live area of 175x100. But in the templates the live areas have dimensions of 520x389(big) and 200x139 (small). I already emailed to the Asset Store Admin about this, so hopefully I’ll have an answer soon.
