Console errors like crazy but script works

Hi all, I have a little script for lava damage and it works just fine however I am getting spammed by the console with :

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
HarmItem.OnTriggerStay (UnityEngine.Collider collider) (at Assets/Scripts/HarmItem.js:11)

I kinda wish it didn’t work so I could figure this out!

Here’s the code anyways and “burnbaby” is a particle effect for my players feet (fire at feet while walking through lava)

		collider.GetComponent(LifeMeter).Life -=DPS;
		Instantiate(BurnBaby,collider.transform.position,collider.transform.rotation);
		CountUp = 0.0f;
	} 
}

And also please note that LifeMeter talks fine to everything else (monster contact, healing etc.)

if(collider.GetComponent(LifeMeter)) collider.GetComponent(LifeMeter).Life -=DPS;
