Hey, guys! I hope this finds you well. My name is Chad Wolfe, and I’ve been developing with Unity and other engines for years. A while ago, I transferred to Construct 3 from Unity as my extensive experience with both has made me realize that some projects are just better built in Construct 3, while some are better in Unity.
Unity has made a major impact on me, though, in terms of development, and so I’ve decided I’d try to make Construct 3 a bit more like Unity in it’s feature set, by first making it have some strong 3D features powered by ThreeJS. I wanted to build a tool that closely resembled Unity’s incredible 3D Editor and Heirarchy, but as soon the concept was formed, Construct was already starting it’s own downhill battle with Addon support, even going as far as threatening the cancelation of my project in every way they can enforce it.
This is what I talk about here, in this blog post:
Please, come join the discussion! I’m excited to hear your thoughts and opinions. Let me know if you think it’s silly for me to even bother with this, or if you like the idea. Until then, adios!
