Consumption Warning!

Hi!

As a reminder, if you set a min 1 on your fleet scaling setting, and leave your fleet online with no allocation, your project will generate usage, and will either consume your credits or generate costs you will be charged for. This is happening because the system keeps machines alive in case of an allocation, and is a regular function of our platform.

You can mitigate unwanted costs by either switching your fleet offline, or setting a min scaling setting to 0. We have added some extra messaging in our UI and documentation to make it extra clear.

Quick update on this thread: we have updated the servers status in our API and UI to better reflect their actual behaviour.

  • offline has been replaced by available. An available server will trigger costs. Behaviour remains the same, but the status now reflects its true nature
  • online remains the same
  • allocated remains the same
