Hello, I was wondering if anyone might help convert a .max file. I was just hoping someone with this magical program could convert this quickly.

You could use Blender.

Sadly, the .max is a proprietary and closely guarded format. Blender can import and export the .3ds format, but not the .max format.
Also, If you are a student with an .edu e-mail address, and using the model for non-commercial purposes, you can join Autodesk’s Education Community and download a non-commercial version of 3dsmax.
