Don’t feel stupid or nervous about asking for help or advice on the forums, it’s what they’re here for.
Unfortunately, I do believe you need any mesh that isn’t built into Unity available in the asset folder or an asset bundle, so even if you make a prefab, you still have to have your OBJ.
