Convert .X files or another solution?

Ok, so i have been looking for a while now and i could not find anything that has been able to help. My problem is i have a load of .X models with animations and i want to use them in Unity. However since Unity does not support directX format i would need to convert them. But i could not find any tool to convert the .X file to .fbx while keeping my animations.

MilkShape does import .X however just the geometry and not the animations. So does anyone have a solution for this?

Also if i cannot find a way to convert the .X files to .fbx is there someway i can, say export the frames as .3ds then re-construct them into a animation?

I am by no means a 3d artist, my expertise lies in coding so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Maybe you can try Blender. If i am not wrong, blender should import .x files but i not very sure since i nvr tried b4. Then you could convert to fbx from there.
