This island looks cool and relax. Maybe you could put some ambiant occlusion on the texture. It would add quality to your Environment. You could maybe bake the texture in your modeling tool. But it suppose that you build your all level environment in the modeling tool scene and not in unity editor. Keep it up !

Thanks Joe

It looks very cute. My advice is to prevent clipping of models as much as possible. Because the graphics are simple and cartoon, everything must be clean and perfect, while for example a log can be half way sunk into the sand in real life (1:15), you want to have all the logs clearly above the sand or else have the texture on the log show it was intentionally put sunk into the ground.

If this where a more realistic looking game with gritty graphics it wouldn’t matter because the massive amounts of detail would help hide clipping. When doing this style everything must look intentionally placed.

Also it seemed a leaf got in the way of the camera for a second, does your third person controller correct itself to keep sight of the character?

Thanks for advice Khyrid.
I have to improve the renderer and I’m searching for information about cartoon style. And you’re right, I need to hide objects between camera and character, some players ask me to do that.

The 3D buzz third person tutorial shows you how to do just that. They use a control system similar to WOW in that tutorial, I don’t know if that’s what you want, but you may be able to pick and choose what concepts to implement. Unfortunately I believe they charge for that tutorial.

It’s here.

Thansk for the link. I will fix that for the next demo.

It’s now online and I’m using a webplayer.
