Copy material to another material?

Is there any way to copy the properties of one material to another one? I’d like to be able to click on a material, hit “copy”, and paste the settings into another material.

Am I overlooking something? Is there some easy way to do this other than by hand?

And speaking of, the “shininess” sliders on the materials… any way to get a numeric value for those? When trying to match up materials it’s just guesswork trying to get the shininess levels the same.

A material is actually a source file, so you can select it in the Project panel and use Edit > Duplicate to create a new material with the same properties.

You can get the Shininess value from within a script, but unfortunately not from the editor, as yet.
