In the 0.5.0 release notes it states: “Crashing in player builds due to corrupted globalmanager asset.”. Is this fixed or is it still a problem in 2019.3b12? My builds instantly crash before even writing a log, but I’ve recently been working with unsafe pointers in C# and am not sure if one or the other is the cause of the crash.

I can confirm that our build started crashing after integrating the package 0.5.1 with 2019.3b12.
Is there any workaround available?
No there’s no simple workaround at the moment. The issue is a high priority though. A lot of the SerializeReference issues have been fixed, they are just working through the last few.
Looks like those last few are the exact issues i’m having, when trying to use SerializedReference at all. Unity starts hanging and crashing left and right.
