Cosines, tangents, and sines

I need help learning about these. I know you need them for stuff with rotations and to create lines pointing ways and etc. Can someone give me a brief simple explanation on how they work and where I should use them. Thanks

What you are asking about is a field of math called “Trigonometry”, and it’s normally something you’d learn over the course of a semester or so in school.
