[COUPON GIVEAWAY] Developer Utilities for Unity 3D

Hello fellow Unity developers!

I want to introduce “Developer Utilities for Unity 3D” to you.

On last weekend I had the idea to integrate my most used Unity services into a simple app so I can access the Assetstore and other stuff on the Unity homepage on my smartphone through an app rather than through a browser.

Out of this basic idea I created Developer Utilities for Unity 3D, and added a lot more services into the app like bitbucket, github, Google Play Developer Console and so on.

You can download it from Google Play at:

IPhone version coming soon?

I can’t give a definite release date or timeframe but I will work on a version for iOS in addition to the current Android version.

I will keep this thread updated in regards to an iOS version.

Windows Phone version will also follow.

[OPEN FEATURE REQUESTS WEEK]

If you want a certain developer related service added to this app, please post your request into this thread. I will collect all requests for one week from now on and will finalize this version with your feature requests. The next version will be created in Android Studio and will then also include the features and services you request here!

I will not add Netflix to this app!

TXH!

How about Spotify then? Just kidding ;). Anyway, I think ability to send tweets directly from your app, without going to or even installing Twitter would be mighty useful.

[/quote] You mean a share function?

No, that would require twitter app. I am talking about the built-in custom Twitter client.

Good idea. I will think about how to integrate it and if it’s possible with the current Twitter API.

Basically the next version will have all Google Material features and I will expand it on the needs for versioning API access and so on.

Any more feature requests, just drop a note!

Wow! Am I reading this right? When I first saw this thread, I assumed it would never come to my phone. I am glad I am wrong as this app looks to be very useful.

Dear fellow Unity developers!

As I have to cover development costs and especially the development of the next version of this app, I had to add banner ads to the current free version, now named "Utilities for Unity 3D (Free).

The prior solution with Envato Market affiliate integration would only cover “new Envato clients and their first deposit”. I would say 90% of the apps users are already customers at Envato Market, so it’s really not a feasible solution to cover development costs.

The free app serves Flurry (Yahoo!) banner ads at the bottom of the app.

I’m very sorry that the app can’t be ad-free anymore. I hope that you understand and know from your own work that completely free apps are hard to maintain.

In addition, a completely ad-free version is already under review by Google and will cost only $0.99. This low price gives you also the opportunity to grab a very low bargain on this app. The mentioned next version with API integrations and more professional features will have a higher price than just $0.99.

I’ll post the link to the ad-free version as soon it’s published.

THX and all my best to you!

Nash

Having ads would be fine, though your estimation that “99% of the apps users are already customers at Envato Market” is probably far off. I have honestly never even heard of Envato until this thread and I am sure many others are the same.

OK, I’ll adjust my estimate to 90% But as you never heard of Envato, I guess you and others wouldn’t sign up there just to support the development of this app, especially when you and others don’t really need the assets from there.

But just to make clear, the app doesn’t serve Interstitials or Full-Screen ads. Banner ads at the bottom but no annoying breaks in the workflow like with interstitials.

Go lower, much lower. There are a ton of generic digital market places out there. I’ve never heard of this one before, and imagine thats the same across the forums.
