Hi, I 'm looking , I can not have a similar character to control after that, I 'd like to move up , down , how in Mario & Luigi Journey to the Center of Bowser, but is it obliged to do it in 3D because I 'd like to switch between 2D and 3D during the game, a bit like Super Paper Mario.

I want the same interface for my game , having access to life, and the keys of the players.
PS:
I am on Google translator because I am French , I am sorry for the mistakes that may have here .

If I understand the problem:
Technically I’d like to say you can use just 2D, because there are games like zelda a link to the past that use a 3/4 overhead angle, but the game is just 2D visuals. You could use 2 methods of 2D graphics when you want to change between 3D (which would be 3/4 overhead) and 2D (which would be like 2D super mario brothers). That said, the mechanic in super paper mario uses 3D transitions that move the camera’s position to change the scene to 2D. That mechanic isn’t very easy with just 2D. However you can still use 2D graphics if you use 3D graphics for the environment and use 2D for characters, it’ll give a style that can look good.
I hope you understood that, my french isn’t great (I don’t speak much french anymore).

I’m not 100% sure, but I believe the image is a 3D game using 2D characters. The whole game is in 3D, but instead of having 3D models for the characters, it uses pre-rendered 2D images (or maybe just pixelated sprites).
I have a problem I want to make a game like this but I´m not the best programmer and found no scripts in the internet for a player controller
ok I don` t need one I programme one
hey guys I need help my controller work but I can’t set animations
Maybe this would help you. He used to have something that looked a bit like Super Mario 64 running, but guess was told to take it down. This is the controller he was using for it.
