Create and configure a Moon

Hi! I am trying to create a Moon for my game. Let me explain what i want to do, and my problem:

I have made two maps. One map is at DAY and the other at NIGHT. The day map automatically have it’s own sun, made by Unity, but the night map doesn’t have a moon. So, i had to make a texture, and, obviously, a moon.

BUT my moon doesn’t appear on the game. Why? Because to make my map look like it was in night time, i had to apply a night skybox and toggle the directional light to dark. So, everything is “dark”. INCLUDING MY MOON. I am trying to apply a source of light to it, so it ONLY light my moon. But i can’t =C

Unity’s standard light types (directional, point, spot and area) doesn’t work on it. Some because they simply don’t work, and others because they light EVERYTHING. Also, i have put the moon in another layer, and the moon with the light in a layer, but it doesn’t work too because everything turns bright as a blank page, or i can’t see the moon! SOMEONE HELP ME.

It depends on how you created your moon. If it’s a seperate GameObject, then just give it’s renderer a material that uses a shader that is unlit (Unlit Diffuse, for example).
If the moon is part of the texture of the night sky skybox, then you are doing something wrong implementing the skybox because skyboxes are normally unlit, their color and brightness are controlled seperately by the Lighting settings IIRC.
