Creating a mmo/ mmorpg

Hi, so ive worked in MMORPG servers for 4 years, i worked as developer, graphics, animation (char attributes) and more.

Over the years ive gained knowledge on levelling, tilesets, characters (creating it all), i believe their level/ map editor/ maker was made using vb.net

i come from a vb.net background and knowledge, i want to expand to c# so i can create a mmo, i can figure maps, tiles and such as i can make these, however interpreting the map/ animation files with the server and all no clue of.

This video was made by a ex player of the game “graal online” who used it as an inspiration to make their own version of it in c++ (however it uses multithread which i will not be using)

i worked in graal as staff for dev team (levels, graphics, code (gscript 2) for char items, npcs, etc.

I have an idea of the bases, game, server, levels how it works, i can most likely make the map editor in vb.net and somehow make it work, where i have no clue of is the game bases/ files being able to understand/ read eachother and so on. Is there video tutorials on how to make a mmo using unity, i found making the server and client connections on youtube but thats about it for mmo tutorials through unity.

overall i pretty much want to make it work and system like graal online, where they have a map editor as program, animation creator, all they do is create, save and add the map or animation into server files then make a weapon (item) and call that animation or a weapon or command or a npc when touched, warps to that level, usually its 64x64 tiles i believe for .nw levels (file extension for 1 level) and .gmap is for multiple levels on 1 level or/ map (like joined as one big map), if anyone is willing to help or get an idea what im saying please let me know as i have the old graal files (server, client, editor and all that)

You must post recruitment/collab/hiring threads in the proper forum.

Im not looking for collaborations etc. Im only looking for what things i need to learn and if there are tutorials for mmo via videos, i explained features and such because “if i wanted to build a 3D mmo compared to a 2D mmo i would obviously not follow the 3D one when im trying a 2D one”. I explained the game etc so someone can get an idea what sort im trying to start and how it will look, the idea of mmo i want to make so i can get better feedback on how i should go about this project, what i need to learn and if there are tutorials on it.
