I am creating a game called SharpSteel: Land of Asteria. The game is going to be sort of like Mount and Blade, different gameplay though. Its going to have more of war like combat and less of party combat. What I mean by that is you with “give your sword” to a king and then you will work your way up to a Superior Warrior then you will be rewarded castles and armor etc… So I am wondering if anyone knows a website where I can have free Models for characters, horses, Castles, shields, armor. And stuff like that. As of now I am currently finishing up the terrain. A half Forrest and half grass plain battle field that will be one of 5 or 6 main battle fields. So if you guys could make me some models that would be helpful if not direct me to a place where I can get them that would be greatly Appreciated.
If you want free stuffs I’d suggest starting a thread in the collaboration section.
Read the collaboration guidelines before posting, and cook up a nice GDD that you can give to potential team members who might want to join your team.
Your best bet is to collaborate with others, and in turn contribute to the project yourself (more than just ideas).
Otherwise, just google for model packs or look on the asset store, you want an art style that is consistent in the game.
if you dont mind the quality, you can get some stuff on turbosquid. some stuff is free, some is cheap. you get what you pay for tho
You won’t be able to find everything You need for free so Hire modellers to work for you or search for someone who is volunteer to help you with it.
