Creating an interface, the raw image Im editing appears to be rendered behind the panel its under in the heirachy. (Images showing linked)

As you can see in the linked image, my gear icon is at the very bottom of the heirachy, but the game window is rendering it behind the Main Menu panel.

Also, the main menu panel is correctly colored tan in the Game Window, but appears black in the Scene Window.

What’s the deal here, why is everything behaving so inconsistently? This is a completely fresh install of Unity…

Restarting unity appears to have solved the issue. This does not look promising, I can’t spend 15 minutes or even put a single image in without getting flooded with errors.
