Creating Clear Post Topics

I’ll openly admit that this is mostly just a gripe from someone that is way too fussy and possibly suffers pretty severe OCD… i.e. “Me”.

BUT, I’m hoping that in posting this maybe a few of the “culprits” might read this, realise that it is fairly logical, and decide to take the advice on board.

One of the things I’m finding really frustrating about these forums is the information - or more specifically, the LACK of information - that some people are putting into their post titles.

I get a bit of free time at work so I like to run through the new posts to see if I can help anyone with my extremely limited Unity skills, but sometimes I’m finding that I need to open like 50% of the posts to even get an idea of what they’re about.

Here’s a couple of current examples just from the Scripting section alone: “ANOYONE HELP?”, “Help with Scripting”, “Need help with script”, “Delete”, “Whats wrong with this script?”, “Police Cars”, “i just bought unity pro and need help”.

Anyway, that’s just on the first page and it’s not even all of the examples.

So - like I said, I’m just putting it out there that it would be great if people would give a bit more detail in their post topics. It’s going to make it much more likely that someone will jump in and give you an answer or at least give some attention to your post.

Done now. I’m not looking to start a debate or anything by the way - I’m honestly just trying to make the Unity world that I’ve come to love a better place

Have you heard about natural selection?
I guess if you cannot describe your problem on a manner which will make others understand it and make people want to help you, then your post is going to be buried in the avalanche of daily posts.
So if you see such post just move on, because if OP didn’t care enough to take time and explain his problem, why should anyone else waste time trying to figure out what is he mumbling?
