Creating .exe and out of bounds

Could someone help me please.

I’ve been creating scenes in Unity and getting to grips with it, but when i go to create a .exe to play on PC i always get an error saying the data is corrupt and the position is out of bounds. It works fine on web player.

So to try and figure it out i created a new scene and placed just a first person camera on a plain terrain. I’ve gone to create a .exe and i still get the same message.

I’d really appreciate any help. If i can’t resolve this, well then i can’t carry on.

I’ve searched previous posts, but nothing seems to nail it down or i don’t quite follow some of the suggestions.

I’ve posted my error from the scene i created, which does include objects as maybe the out of bounds error isn’t the cause.

Anyone had this before?

Ive logged a bug, but hoping someone out there has had some experience with this.

Ive reinstalled unity and even tried my project on a different pc with the same results

I’m getting this line in my output_log.txt as well…

The file ‘N:/Users/Xike/Desktop/OilAndGas_Demo1_Data/mainData’ is corrupted! Remove it and launch unity again!

I fixed it on my machine!!

Check to see how full your HD is…I had like 9 GB of space left, and I was getting that error ya know. Then I went into the drive clean up utility. For instance, right click on C: > Properties > General tab > Disk Cleanup and then I cleared the Temporary Files which had like 17 GB, then I also deleted a lot of movies, game installation files, etc and got my HD down to like 65GB free…and then did a Build again in Unity and it worked correctly.

Our problems might be different, but that’s why I did, and It’s working again!!

Glad you’ve got it sorted. Unfortunately mine still has the error and i’ve got plenty of space. I think it’s an imported asset along the way, but it’s almost impossible for me to narrow down.

This is an asset which i’ve imported. If anyone else comes across this issue the best thing i can advise is remove each new asset you’ve added to your project until it works. It’s a painful process and one which has nearly put me off using Unity.

Now i’m pretty paranoid about any new asset i add…

Iv had this problem due to importing another project into mine. For some reason they clash. If you can work out which project it is and remove it, it should work again :smile:
