I’ve did a little bit of research and most methods seem pretty old that people have previously been using. I was wondering if there is an updated method for doing this? The previous method I’ve seen is using two objects, one sets the surrounding faces transparent and then the other one removes the collision from those faces.
nope, still stuck with the same old crappy terrain
Lovely. I really wish Unity would revamp their terrain system for adding holes in terrain, extending terrain at any given time, terrain stitching, and applying multiple shaders to each texture. Among other things. Maybe in the future they will.
The terrain system will be revamped… theres that official thread on gossip about terrain improvements, which suggests they are looking at redoing it…couldnt say when, but it will happen.
There are several better terrain systems on the Asset Store in the meantime.
