Subject: Critical Issues with Unity 6: Ad Integration and In-App Purchases Resolution Errors
To Unity Support Team,
I am writing to report a critical issue I have been experiencing over the last two months with Unity 6. I sincerely hope this matter is addressed promptly as it is severely impacting my ability to develop and monetize games.
The Problem:
After upgrading to Unity 6, I have encountered persistent errors when attempting to integrate ads and in-app purchases in my Android games. Here are the details:
IronSource SDK Integration:
When attempting to integrate IronSource SDK, the resolution process required by Unity to finalize the setup fails, resulting in numerous errors and warnings.
Unity Ads and Google AdMob Integration:
The resolution process, which previously worked seamlessly in earlier Unity versions, now generates unknown errors and warnings in Unity 6, halting the implementation of ads.
In-App Purchases (IAP):
Similarly, attempts to implement in-app purchases are blocked during the resolution process, leaving me unable to proceed.
These issues are consistent across multiple projects and prevent me from completing essential monetization features for my published game and new projects.
Impact:
I have a published game that requires an update to include ads, but these issues make it impossible to proceed.
I am unable to create new games using Unity 6 because monetization features are critical to my development pipeline.
This situation is forcing me to reconsider using Unity for future projects, which is a significant disruption to my workflow.
Request:
I kindly request Unity’s development team to:
Investigate and resolve the errors related to the resolution process for ad SDKs (IronSource, Unity Ads, Google AdMob) and in-app purchases in Unity 6.
Provide guidance or workarounds for affected developers in the interim.
I trust that Unity values its developers and will prioritize resolving this issue swiftly. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and a resolution soon.
