Cross Country Autumn: Web version available

Hello folks,

we just finished porting our iPhone and iPod Touch game “Cross Country Autumn” to the web. Unity made this job incredibly easy.

Feel welcome to try it here: www.lindmandesign.com/crosscountry

Feedback of any kind is of course always welcome.

Thanks.

Nice theme.

The game itself is pretty brutal.

When you bump into something, you come to a dead stop (okay, there’s a little bounce). I can understand stopping if you go head on into something, but glancing blows stop you and mean you have to be incredibly precise.

Also, some of the flow of the tracks don’t allow you to really get up to speed before you have to make a turn, which usually ends up in bumping something and loosing all momentum. There were a couple of spots where I ended up in a nasty dead end, because it seemed like the track went in that direction (the corral area in track 01).

I think if you can smooth out some of the collisions and let people just get loose on the tracks vs. uber-technical turning (at least for the first few tracks), you’ll really have something.

Thanks for your great feedback! Very much appreciated. We’ll definitely work on your suggestions.

Nice graphics!
Huge critics for the gameplay, it’s to hard to play I always stucked at a wall, brick, bush or something.
I can say the same thing as twitchfactor.

We’ll definitely get more live testers. In my personal opinion it’s not too hard, but all these hours of testing and debugging probably turned me into a pro driver. So, my opinion doesn’t really count
