Cross Platform Assets

Maybe this is a very basic question, sorry about that…

When I import an 3D model and its materials then I need to choose the specific shaders I would like to use for each one… When developing a cross platform project, let’s say mobile and desktop, I would like to use the proper shaders for each case…

Should I create different materials in order to be able to put different shaders on the same textures or is there any other way to do this?

You can use e.g. platform macros in code to set different shaders with different platforms.
