Crossy Road-Type fire or explosions?

I’m looking to put some fire in my game, which has voxel-type (Unturned-ish?) graphics. I love the way Crossy Road does it, with multple 3d cubes gradually turning black as they float away. Since it’s 3d I cant do it with particles. Can someone help me with this?

Lol answerng own question… After some research, I found out about the shuriken mesh particle renderer. Just go the the Renderer settings in your particle system, and set render type to mesh.
