Cubey is our first game! A puzzle game that is challenging from the first level all through until the last! You play as a cube, dodging other cubes and using obstacles such as jump pads, pressure pads and more. You also get power ups, lasers, shields and slow-mo! We have submitted the game to Desura, the release date is the 4th, it is being released on Windows and Mac! We also have planned a iOS and Android release sometime in the next month. I love it! The initial levels were a bit easy, it gets a bit harder in the last one though (died 5 times in total, all in the last level) and the mechanics seem solid :). The only thing I didn’t like was the start of the song in the 3rd (/2nd) level. When you just let go and let the cube die, it kind of screems in your ears when you wear headphones and I couldn’t seem to be able to quit from the scene at the end with the rotating cube.
Awesome game in overall, it’s really fun and I look forward to see some trickier levels
Trickier levels are already made in the full version. Also as leader of this group i can’t even finish lvl1, so to be honest i dont see why it needs to be much trickier.
Fun game with some frustrating elements of unfairness due to camera angle. If these niggles can be worked out, you might be onto something
Consider reducing the front and back size of the collision for the main player so that player isn’t punished so hard for moving left or right too soon or too late (within reason).
Cubey has been delayed. Desura somehow missed our email and they finally set it up. We will be releasing in 2 weeks, with the Android/iOS as well as one big release. Sorry for the delay.
