Hello everyone, we are pleased to announce the next project from us here at Taptoon Games. While we are currently also in the middle of finishing up a HUGE update to our current game we are also putting together a brand new IP called Cubix, the name may be changed to be spelled differently but the game will be pronounced Cubix.
High Level Overview:
A matching game where the users goal each round will be to clear all the blocks off the board.
Gameplay:
At the beginning of the round there will be a 5x5 board that has some of the board already filled in with different color cubes. You will have to match 2 cubes of the same color to eliminate those from the board. You will be shown what color cube you will be placing down. As you start to fill up the board the board will start to wobble. If you place to many cubes on one side of the board the board will start to tip over, you can quickly react and place some cubes down on the other side to re balance the board. Once you have cleared the board of all remaining colors you will end the round and be taken to the next round where the challenge becomes more difficult.
Unique Features
Cubix from my knowledge is the first of it’s kind. Instead of matching 3, your only matching two, instead of pre-built board the player fills in the board, where you put cubes down matters because the board uses physics so you can’t just stack the cubes in any place you want, no time limits you go at your own pace, rounds can be quick or take you 15 minutes, and the game will feature 4 different modes of play(Standard, Match 3, Random Cube Drop, VS) but more on that later.
Playable Build
I have a playable version of the game but I warn you This is very early alpha. While 75% of the programming is in, the art…is well not.

I hope that you enjoy the version of the game I have so far, I understand there needs a lot of art but I will be updating as much as I can when I get new art. I look forward to peoples feedback as I feel this concept is very new and different. If there is anything on the market that this reminds you of I would love a link or something. Thanks everyone!
