Currently, is there a method to remove the "Made with Unity" without Pro/Enterprise plans?

Hi everyone!

I’m wondering about this question, because I’m currently working on a personal project that is almost finished (as a developer I know it will be never finished, but is near to a “ready to publish” state).

My plans started to fully work on this project using Unity Personal (free) and, when the project become “finished”, subscribe to Unity Plus to remove the “Made with Unity” logo, making my project to look more professional.

So, after the last weeks, we all have seen the polemic pricing changes, that came with the extintion of Unity Plus from Sept. 12, and the new Personal Free features (that includes the possibility to remove the splash screen) only will be available on the next LTS version (or from January 2024, it isn’t so clear for me WHEN exacly this will be available).

Ok, but… And in the meantime? Do we have some option to remove this splash screen without going to Unity Pro/Enterprise (which is very expensive for individuals and small/starting studios)? Really do I need to wait months to release my game because they removed the possibility to hide the splash screen for now?

This is the question… While we wait for the next LTS version (or January 2024), is there a legal/official way to remove the splash screen?

No.

This is radicoulus and yet hilarious that you build your business plan around Unity splash screen. Probably you heard some Internet rumors. Yet there 0 evidence, that splash screen affect sales, or downloads. If game is good, no one will care about splash creen.

You can just navigate to installation directory to get idea, if project was made in Unity. I wouldnt pay 2k per seat, or even 0.0001k for blocking directory access

So instead wasting your energy on such radiculous thing, focus your effort on quality and marketing of the product. Once you reach threshold you will need pro anyway.

Just in case, splash screen is not an indicator of the quality, or not. If your game is crap, you will get players throwing meat at it anyway, regardless ofused engine.

Just don’t waste your money idiotically.
