Can’t find the answer to this anywhere on google - Is there a way to place cursor behind or in front of objects? I’m trying to find a way to position the mouse cursor behind something, like a semi-transparent object for example (temporarily). I don’t just want to hide it but place it behind a layer or panel or image, if you see what I mean.
Hide the cursor and put your own fancy cursor in its place.

Your computer cursor is an operating software thing that lives on top of everything else in your screen.
If you want a fancy one with special before, like Zulo said, gotta hide it and manage your own one.
