For the longest time now I have wanted a tool that would allow me to easily create a font using a basic white color but with a black border (like in traditional RPGs) but none existed… So I would have to create an entire font layout (the ones I have found don’t really work too well) and that already is a pain and a half… but then having to go duplicate it and scale each letter one by one to make it fit inside the corresponding letter… What a shlep that would be…

So I kept waiting for the day that a tool would be created that would allow for this to happen… And now I read this post… and just one thing comes to mind:

P.s. I think I just hit a brainstorm now… Create the texture and then in Photoshop just add a stroke… ON THE INSIDE!!! O.m.g.! Why didn’t I think of this before! It took the disappointment from this thread to make me realize how easy it will be… Oh thank you for posting this! You are my best friend for life… Wait… why didn’t you post it sooner? I hate you again… No , wait, I am at work now… typing this on a Windows machine… which means I have access to a Windows machine… What am I complaining about?

Who can help me? Does it work in function OnGUI when I use custom style with custom fonts? I made font in Font Texture Builder.

Any possibility that this will ever be upgraded to allow for unicode characters, besides the ASCII range?

I used this tool to create a really awesome custom numeric-only font; the ASCII range was just fine for this particular use case. Extremely useful tool!

Have you ever tried with more than 127 characters?

I did this same stuff, but characters beyond 127 doesn’t work, I’m wondering if I missed something.
