So i’ve been trying to create a Baba is You by Hempuli game in Unity. I came across in video on Youtube
The code is also uploaded over at Github.
Now in Unity 2020.1 I created a new 2D project and then I closed the Unity window and then in the created folder, I copied the Github code over to this new project.
As the project was made using Unity 2018 it displayed some import error messages. I ignored and proceeded with the project. The game could be played although not the last level(could play 3 levels). In the video the uploader showed the workings of custom level editor. But no such window was shown in my end. I followed the video closely but i did not see him linking any of the scripts with any of the gameObject or anything from the Heirarchy.
Making no progress i proceeded with installing Unity 2018 and tried the above method of importing. This time around i was able to get the custom level inspector working. But with no icons
I get the following error in my console window
I see that inside the editorDefaultResources folders all the images are intact with the appropriate filename.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I tried contacting the uploaders, but i’ve recieved cold shoulders. I’ve been struggling with this for days now.
