Custom shadow cascade for high zoom camera

Hello there,

I have a camera that is placed in a high place and has a very high zoom. Its job is to observe objects far away from it.

Is there a way to tell the render pipeline to not render shadow close to the camera since it is not needed?

Hey,
You may be able to have some luck with light layers. However this would mean no shadows at all for that camera and tagged object, you may be able to get creative with the scene there.

Alternatively you could fill distance meshes with contact shadows instead.
