Cutscenes

How would you make a cutscene.
Do I make a moive, and just play it, or should I use animations.
Please explain.

With Unity Pro, you can make a movie and show it, in Indie, your best bet is to make a level and play it. If it is integrated into your scene, then halt all action, do your cut scene and when your done, resume it.

Bootcamp uses animations, no videos, which is entirely possible in the free version.

well the pro version is pro for a reason lol regardless of not having movies Unity3D’s free version is super powerful.

for cutscenes, as ppl have been saying, it’s just a bit more work. go and make a new scene for your cutscene and make some scripts to play some character animations and move characters around appropriately.
