welcome! i decided this a good place to showcase my upcoming game seeing as i am of course developing with Unity and this forum would allow me to ask for help if need be. So without Further ado I’d like to present Cyto, an evolution based game in which you take control of a cell and guide its journey to survive and evolve. it shall feature a random mutagen feature allowing for mutations to effect your cell’s evolution, of course what would this be without the added bonus for it to go wrong in the process. Enemy cell’s shall be evolving alongside you giving a true survival of the fittest race to the top. Will you be able to crown your cell the champion of the gene pool? you’ll have to play and see!
the game is currently in alpha stage and shall be available for windows, i hope to have some more updates soon!
here we have a first look at the alpha build for the game, i have coded a player cell to test out simple functions such as eating food pieces and movement. current alpha parts are simple carnivore and herbivore mouths as well as a flagella and cillia, no meshes have been made yet during this process.
In this picture i am testing out some particles that i shall add into the game to give it a more underwater feeling, bubbles and such.
