This is a shot of one of my scenes in the game I have been working on for some time. No gui on the screen for this one, but shows the framerate running on a PC with all sorts of junk going on poly wise.
Sorry, but everything looks a little boring, try to use another light position (and to change the color). :?
Appart of this, it looks intersting! ![]()
all it really needs is a good light setup.
Yes, you need to change the lighting a bit. Try adjusting the angle of the light source if you are using Directional light, or add one if you aren’t. Also, you need a gui. ![]()
Thanks for the input
Taking it all into consideration
GUI is definately on the list, this is just 1 of 10 different zones I have created so far. Just wanted to get a feel of how it was coming along and get some opinions. Thanks everyone!
And you schould create a lightmap for the terrain. ![]()
That’s what “adjusting the lighting” does, so it’s kinda automatic.
yes…

Yay I have your building models
" such a coensidence "
Looking pretty good so far man! I (and my friends) are also working on an RPG game, but we are mainly working on finishing the story right now, so I have just begun work on the island that you will start out on… just really messing with the terrain editor right now.
I second what everyone is saying about lighting it better! Also, I’m sure you will once you work on it more, but make the terrain/environment look less consistent and more organic and disarrayed. e.g. rocks/limbs scattered around in the “woods”, different grass textures in areas, etc.
You definitively need the hand of a designer ![]()
Knowing your interest in networking i am wondering what feature did you implemented already or plan to implement.
The town (or whatever) in the top picture needs to be much more dense, way too much empty space serving no purpose currently.
Here’s a random image i googled to show you what i mean:
It doesn’t need to be massively detailed, just use space efficiently, have variations in height etc to add interest. It will help make the location feel more alive.
Just my $0.02.

I think i’ll also take your 2 cents and invest that ![]()
