Hey guys,
So two opportunities really :).
First up - I’ve launched this DailyAppDreams thing (mentioned it a while back)… Essentially it’s a “free app each day” style site, however it’s free for developers and publishers to run a promotion with us…
Been running a week, we’ve had 120,000+ downloads of the app/ 25,000 app opens + a day, getting 5k views to the website a day already (www.dailyappdream.com), and got a ton of new features going into the app soon in terms of social-networky stuff…
Most of the games we promote hit the top-100-free-games in the space of a day now (to take an example, we advertised “Mike V Do Or Die” yesterday and it’s sitting at 39th free game at the time of writing).
If any of you are interested in promoting a game via that service then just submit it here: http://www.dailyappdream.com/Developers.html and I’ll try book you a slot ;).
Next thing - With this daily app dreams stuff I have in-app advertising included (with more advertising type stuff coming soon, all of which I can either pass over to add-networks OR serve my own adds)… That’s 30,000 + people everyday that I can expose apps very prominently to (and growing)… To that end I’m planning on setting myself up as an indie games publisher, whereby I cover all the PR costs + market your apps through the daily app dreams service (add placements + running free promotions on them etc) in return for a % of sales… The demographic of the user base is very much “gamers”, so I’m looking more for hard-core style games and less for puzzle games etc. (Shooters, racing games, RPG’s etc).
I’m also interested in re-publishing a few games that failed on the first attempt to gain the required traction (would need the original version taking off the store in that case)…
If anyone is interested in the publishing side of things then shoot me an e-mail at Adamgreen@DailyAppDream.com and we can discuss further… %'s and stuff will be on a per-project basis and almost be evaluated based on the amount of time and hardwork I think that got put into each project vs the time it’ll take me to do the PR stuff and value of the marketing stuff… So a polished fps will be more favorable % wise towards the developer than say a puzzle game that took a week or so to make…
Anyways, I look forwards to hearing from you lot ;).
Cheers,
Adam G
