What is the Camera looking at? Is it what you expect?
Anything in front of the Camera?

You have 2 windows:

  • Game view (what your game cameras will see) - it’s also available being not in Play Mode — this is a resulting picture for Play Mode.
  • Scene view (what you see as Game Editor) — you can change your view here, and it will not affect the Play Mode. Learn More.

Are objects visible in Game View in NON Play Mode?
If you don’t see them here, then there is something with your camera settings, position.

Hello. The cameras in scene mode look towards a room but when playing in game mode they go black, it’s not what I expect to happen

Hello. In the scene view window I can see everything, but when I touch the game view window the screen goes dark, no object is seen in game mode, does it have to do with the camera settings? If it is, how do I make it work?

Try turning off any script controlling the camera and manipulating it position and parameters until it actually picks up whatever you’re trying to see in Game View. You can do this in Play mode so it resets when exiting Play.

Having BOTH Scene and Game view open at the same time will help so you can see where in 3D space it’s pointed.

Yes, this is a crucial thing.

Also learn here Unity Essentials:

Hello, I’ve tried and I still have the same problem☹️

I’m learning there and I haven’t moved anything.
I follow the steps as they are

In fact, it happens to me with the unity essentials tutorials.

If I open a new project I can see the camera in game mode, even if I move the camera you can see the new position of the camera
