Day.... 14?

Okay I went through the hassle of updating my Unity version, which needless to say was a nightmare.
Now the project finally compiles, but I cannot push any changes into the cloud, because it says it wants to sync first? But if I pull the previous version all of these changes were for nothing?
What do I do now?

Can you let us know the problems you faced upgrading the Plastic version? Are you using the Unity plugin or the Plastic GUI?

Before checkin your changes, you will need to update first the incoming changes and point your workspace to the head of the branch. If there are file conflicts with your changes, Plastic will ask you to solve the merge conflicts.

But there are no incoming changes…
I dont understand whats going on!

Ok, updating unity has somehow changed from plastic SCM back to old collaborate…
Is anything ever going to work with this?
WHat do I do now?

Last time upon restarting the client, a process was triggered that switched form coillaborate to plastic.
Now, it has been undone and no further promp is popping up.
So what do I do?

What is your Inity version and the Version Control package version?

Unity: 2020.3,35f1
Version Control: 1.15.17

This should be a supported version. Can you try to manually disable Collab?

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the Version Control package in Package Manager.
  • Navigate to the Services window and disable the Collaborate service.
  • Restart the Editor, if you are alerted to migrate your project, please do so.
  • Either way, you should now have access to the Plastic SCM window via the Window > Plastic SCM menu option.

If it doesn’t help, please reach us at support@plasticscm.com and we will arrange a meeting with you to debug your setup.

Alright it seems to work fine now. I really hope thats it for a very long time.
