Day and Night Cycles

hey guys

i was woundering if you can have a day and night cycle in a 2D game if so how can i go about doing this

Short answer: Yes you can.

Its all about how long cycle do you want, and what you change over time - so it is 100% up to you.

To produce a cycle, you will have to think of - is there anything different except colors/brightness that will need to change? will the rules or behaviors of enemies/objects change? will there be different enemies like in Minecraft where the danger comes at night.

All in all, everything is possible. Its all about your ability to program and design + imagination. The latter is what I love the most. So ask if you need ideas too. :o)
