I have exactly the same problem! Do you have a second daylight water in your scene? It seems that you can’t have more then one without this to happen. There are major issues with refraction too. It’s definetly a bug.
Yes, I do have another Daylight Water in the scene that seems to be fine.
Have you reported this?
Using one Daylight Water in a scene seems pretty limiting.
Think I’ll do a report too.
Thanks for letting me know!
Ok, I thought there was some sort of issue with the new version of the water it didn’t seem as nice as the previous.
Here’s the case number on my report: Case 378057
I pointed them to this thread.
Thanks Fishman, maybe I will give that try.
Where I am in the development of my level it isn’t actually necessary that it works correctly, but the time will come…
I received a response from Chris at Unity QA:
“Thanks for your bug report.
I have been investigating and I have managed to reproduce the issue.
I will process the bug report into an area where a developer will investigate further and implement a fix.”
Thanks for the input from everyone to get this fixed!
Yes the report Don sent has been verified and processed. The report will be assigned and investigated further by a developer who will then try to implement a fix.
It’s just hard to say how long these type of bugs can take to fix but hopefully for our next update.
Did any of you see the issue if you switched the player settings/rendering path to vertix lit? I didn’t.
bump !!! need good water!
another problem → reflection calculations are somehow correlating with Editor/Scene window Camera while in play mode. wich is obviously shoudnt take place
