Debugger support

I know that debugger is not supported in Unity and I miss it very much. And I also heard that the latest Mono has internal debugger.
Does that mean when Unity moves over to the latest Mono, it will automatically have debugging capability? Or Unity developer has to support it in application?
I suppose it requires debugger GUI at the minimum and hopefully it’s not a big of a deal.

Thanks.

AFAIK it’s not 100% complete though, right? (I could be wrong as I’m not monitoring the day to day of that in particular).

Nothing happens “automatically”, there is engineering work to be done on our end no matter what. With that in mind we are quite keen to add debugging capabilities and have been waiting on Novell for these changes (we’re in close engineering contact with them on a regular basis).

I’m thrilled that debugger support is listed in the roadmap. Also, I’m excited that VS project will be supported. Does this mean that it will support VS debugger? Or it will be some sort of integrated debugger into UT editor?
I’m wondering how everything will work together.
Thanks.

I’m interested in this as well.

We definately want to have a Visual Studio debugger integration.

I really hope so too… but to support Mac users, I guess it will be more like an integrated debugger. It will be the best if it can support both integrated debugger and VS debugger. I’m crossing my fingers.
