Debugger unavailable (Mac/Pro/3.0f1)

I synced assets, launched Mono Dev, set breakpoints, but the ‘play’ buttons still gray. Docs say to set prefs to point to ‘Unity executable’

  1. Does that mean the Unity Editor executable, or the built game executable (I’m targeting Android, do I need to build a Mac standalone for this?, that would defeat the purpose…)

  2. I go to Mac Menu MonoDevelop, Preferences, Unity, Debugger, and change the path to Applications/Unity or Documents/MyProject, neither helps, and when I go back to check, it has restored its default of ‘administrator’ folder. That seems broken right there. What am I doing wrong?

Ah I see. It is the Editor, and one must select the editor .app file, not just the folder. There is ambiguity in the docs, please fix them. A ‘location’ implies folder. Say ‘please select the Editor application file
