I have the full installation of MonoDevelop (4.0.12) running, and I’ve got a basic game running on Unity (5.1.0f3), on Linux Mint (17.2).
What I want to do is debug my game from MonoDevelop. When I choose _Run_ → _Debug Application…_, I’m presented with a file select dialog. What file should I be pointing to? I used task manager to find that Unity is running from _/opt/Unity/Editor/Unity_, but I get the error _“The file ‘/opt/Unity/Editor/Unity’ can’t be debugged”_. I tried attaching to _/proc//exe_, but I get the same error.
Am I barking up the wrong trees here?

Cheers!

I figured it out… don’t debug the solution, just attach to the Unity process and debug flows through!
