Debugging

I got this error despite the game working fine:

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
UnityEditor.Graphs.AnimationStateMachine.TransitionEditionContext.BuildNames () (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Graphs/UnityEditor.Graphs/AnimationStateMachine/TransitionEditionContext.cs:44)
UnityEditor.Graphs.AnimationStateMachine.TransitionEditionContext…ctor (UnityEditor.Animations.AnimatorTransitionBase aTransition, UnityEditor.Animations.AnimatorState aSourceState, UnityEditor.Animations.AnimatorStateMachine aSourceStateMachine, UnityEditor.Animations.AnimatorStateMachine aOwnerStateMachine) (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Graphs/UnityEditor.Graphs/AnimationStateMachine/TransitionEditionContext.cs:28)
UnityEditor.Graphs.AnimationStateMachine.AnimatorTransitionInspectorBase.ComputeTransitionContexts () (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Graphs/UnityEditor.Graphs/AnimationStateMachine/AnimatorTransitionInspectorBase.cs:125)
UnityEditor.Graphs.AnimationStateMachine.AnimatorTransitionInspectorBase.OnEnable () (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Graphs/UnityEditor.Graphs/AnimationStateMachine/AnimatorTransitionInspectorBase.cs:87)
UnityEditor.Graphs.AnimationStateMachine.AnimatorStateTransitionInspector.OnEnable () (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Graphs/UnityEditor.Graphs/AnimationStateMachine/AnimatorStateTransitionInspector.cs:55)

I’ve very new to unity and am wondering how to tell what this is referring to. Its clearly an animation issue but how can I tell which object its even referring to? Never mind which specific animation.

Yet to receive a response to any of my posts asking for assistance so far. Nobody knows what this error might be about?

A whole lotta BS AFAIC. Unity should specify how to find this error…or get rid of it.

I got the same error and fixed it with my crazy hacking skills: I opened another project and then opened my original project and the error was gone. So yeah, I agree with the guy above me, this error is BS.
