Decal layers don't work in 2022.1

I am using Unity latests production version but even though documentation says there are decal layers, i set the decal layer and then for my object i set a different object and renderer layer and keeps projecting the decals. I am using a custom decal shader

Did you maybe forget to enabled decals layers in the camera frame settings (in addition to the HDRP asset settings) ?

Yes, it was that thanks

Not sure whether this is the right place for my question but:
I have enabled decal layers in the HDRP asset, as well as the within the camera frame settings and the Frame settings (Default Values). However when I go to an HDRP decal projector it still gives me the warning and the Decal Layers are greyed out. I am not sure how to fix this am I missing something else?

In the global one (assigned in the graphic settings) AND in the one of the current quality level if any?
