This happened in my project: the decal would vanish as soon as I selected it or its material.
So I created a new blank URP project and the decal was working perfectly there until I changed the rendering path to Deferred, then it started happening again. Unity 2022.2.3f1, URP 14.0.5
Has anyone else run into this issue?

Having the same problem in the new 2022.3.1 LTS, but I also have other rendering related issues when deferred and DBuffer decals are enabled in our project.
