If you’re going to force developers to download Unity in order to download images they’ve rightfully purchased, place that as a disclaimer or make them exclusive to unity. That was an absolutely absurd, and frankly insulting way to run an asset store.
Do you really expect someone to convert to Unity because they had to temporarily download it? FFS. Talk about a reason to avoid this place in the future.
The Unity Asset Store is for Unity users. That’s the whole point. Nobody is expected to convert, since they’d already be using Unity in the first place. There’s not that much on the store that would even be useful outside Unity (at least not without exporting/conversion), hence your objection makes little sense. It’s kind of like being shocked that the Apple app store stuff only works on Apple devices.
