Default thirdpersoncharacter lists to the left?

I feel like he must have a gimpy leg. I just made a new project, plopped him down, and he lists slightly to the left. He also spins super fast if I hit “S”, which seems strange. Is there something wrong with this behavior or is this how he was intended to act?

Running Win 7 64bit, Unity 5.0.1f1(64bit)

Bump? I’m trying to use this character for testing, and it’s not exactly going well.

Edit: Apparently the default particle systems do not work for me either.
