Deferred render quality

Hey there,

We really want to use deferred rendering for its performance improvements but it seems that forward rendering has higher quality rendering right now. A lot of our objects on deferred appear much more flat especially when looking away from the directional light. Has anyone else encountered this? Is it expected that deferred render quality will be significantly different and are there any techniques to combat the loss of shading detail?

Thanks,

Brenden

Use linear color space. And you should post screenshots what you mean by worse quality in deferred. Only thing it should look better in forward rendering is aa, because deferred hasn’t got it.

This, people cannot tell what do you mean with worse quality without any comparison pictures
