Deferred shadows getting worse as resolution increases!

So we have lighting with deferred mode & shadows and have a major problem with the shadows getting worse and then disapearing as the resolution is increased. So they look fine at the default 1024x768, flicker at a medium resolution and have disapeared at 1920x1080!!

I can not fully recreate in a small scene at the moment and we don’t really have the time - has anyone else had such problems or are there known bugs?

What kind of hardware are you running on? Are you by chance could be running out of VRAM?

Check this under “Limited memory conditions”:

I thought that but in the profiler it only says 44.8mb under GfxDriver. Might be related to SSAO - in any case a related bug is: #746945

The same scenes seem to be fine on a powerful graphics card (GTX 970).
But on say a good mobile GPU (960m) multiple spotlight shadows quickly lead to pixelated appearance or disappearing shadows - is there some hardware issue/limitation there with the way multiple spotlight shadows are rendered?

(We don’t have many graphics cards to test where the issue starts - though the bug above should show differences across a range of cards)
