Argh. I set something as a tree in the Terrain Inspector. I realized that painting it with the terrain tool made it too small and stuff, so I just placed it manually. Unfortunately I wanted my tree to be Toon Shaded, so I changed its material, but now when I run the game, I get a million error log entries telling me to use the soft occlusion shader. Can I just delete the tree from the terrain inspector?
Aight, seeing all of those messages every time I run the game is starting to drive me crazy. There has to be a way to get rid of trees!
unfortunately you can’t delete anything from the terrain inspector yet, you could export a heightmap from your current terrain and import it into a new one but you’ll lose your splatmaps as you can’t export them right now.
I might actually do that. My splatmap for this terrain is really simple, and would be easy to redo. Thanks for the info though. Perhaps in 2.0.3…?
really really hope so (on both counts ; )
You could just replace it with a different tree. That will at least solve the problem with the error messages.
